I haven't really done too much while I've been here. I usually stay indoors until about 5 or 6in the afternoon because it's just so unbearable to go outside. I understand the need for a siesta, because after eating the oppressive heat in conjunciton with your body's attempt to digest just makes you so tired and lethargic that all you really want to do is sleep. And because Madrid is thland, with no beach or water source nearby, there no refreshing cool breeze or cool change which make places like Barcelona and Valencia more bearable.
How do people cope? With very little clothes ans siestas in parks (usually in swimware and bikinis). Yes, there are many things to see and take pictures of here in Madrid... though this almost got me arrested (for the second time in this country) - it seems the police in Spain really don't like to be photographed!
